CHAPIN

Jeannie Marie Chapin was born on April 24, 1983, at Boulder Community Hospital, the daughter of
Robert (Bob) Lindberg and Mary Stoudt. She spent her early years in Boulder, and after Bob passed,
Mary married Michael (Mike) Katsampes when Jeannie was 5. At the age of 9, the family moved to
Johnstown where Jeannie grew up and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2001.

She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Northern Colorado in
Greeley in 2006. In 2007, she married the love of her life, Robert “Rob” Chapin.

Jeannie dedicated her life to caring for others, working her way through college as a CNA before
becoming a NICU nurse. Over her 19 years of service, she touched the lives of thousands of families
before concluding her career at Longs Peak Hospital in Longmont.

Jeannie’s greatest passions in life were her family and nursing. She adored her three sons, Cole, Lucas,
and Mason Chapin, and cherished every moment spent with them. She also had a love for the outdoors, enjoying hiking, boating, and viewing the fall colors of the Colorado mountains. Traveling and researching family genealogy were among her favorite pastimes.

On March 24, 2025, Jeannie lost her yearlong battle with cancer. She fought with the same tenacity and
determination that served her so well over the years.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Chapin, and their three sons. She also leaves behind her
mother, Mary Stoudt Lindberg Katsampes; her father, Michael Katsampes; her brothers, David Lindberg (Teresa) and Nicholas Katsampes (Paula); and her nephews, Dylan and Wyatt Lindberg, as well as numerous loving and nurturing grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert (Bob) Lindberg.

Memorial services were held March 29 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in Longmont.
Memorial contributions in Jeannie’s honor may be made to Pathways Hospice in Fort Collins.
