Diane Lee Cook was welcomed into Heaven on January 4, 2024. Born in Pennsylvania on October 29, 1947, to Edward and Alvina Neiger, she finished her race after 76 years of being a precious daughter, sister, aunt, faithful wife, and loving mother and grandmother.Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Lewis Cook, in January of 1984. She is survived by her two sisters, Linda Walters and Sandra Tow; her daughters, Heather Ross (Ryan) and Amity Engelhardt (Mark); and her grandchildren, Chase, Remington, Kellen and Sadie, who were her pride and joy.
     We thank the good Lord for every moment we had with our mom, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She taught us so much in life, but even more in the face of adversity. In blindness and sight, in deafness and hearing, in spoken words and inaudible whispers, in mobility and immobility she taught us that no matter the adversity there is always room for a ray of sunshine, and that is exactly what she was to us – a ray of sunshine with a gift of finding humor in every situation and finding a way to be content in the most challenging trials. She taught us the meaning of graciousness and how to love well up to her very last breath.
     To say she was thoughtful would be an understatement. She was always thinking about ways she could bring joy to others, and she was very creative in her expression of love, usually with her amazing cooking. She was generous, selfless, dedicated, hardworking, and witty. She demonstrated much courage as she allowed her family to care for her and make decisions on her behalf as she was forced to let go of her independence. She loves the Lord and we have no doubt that she rejoices with Him now.
