Around Town
Roosevelt Middle School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) students have officially joined the Hunger Heroes volunteer team this semester. Hunger Heroes is a collaborative program that brings together the Weld RE-5J School District, the YMCA, the Weld County Food Bank and volunteers from Roosevelt High School’s Interact Club to provide weekend food support for students in need. By working alongside Interact Club volunteers, these middle school students are developing essential skills such as teamwork, communication, and inventory management while also gaining insights into the operations of non-profit organizations. Hunger Heroes currently supports over 160 students in the RE-5J School District, ensuring they have access to nutritious meals over the weekend. Got a picture for Page 3? An item for Around Town?
