December 11, the Weld RE-5J School Board held its regularly scheduled meeting and recognized some of the things the district is doing to prepare students for their next steps after high school. Superintendent Scott Nielsen spoke about how great this community and town have been and spotlighted a few major events that have happened within the past few weeks.
Roosevelt High School seniors recently held their Capstone event, in which seniors taking English 12 are to job shadow a career they are interested in pursuing in the future and present their learning to the community explaining why they chose the career that they did. Nielsen explained how this event is always a big success every year, and how he is truly impressed with how passionate these students are about pursuing their chosen careers in the future.
