Weld RE-5J School District and Roosevelt High School have announced a $4,500 donation from TDS to support the expansion of the school’s concurrent enrollment drone course in partnership with Aims Community College.
“This donation will directly enhance the program, allowing students to earn their FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot Certification in just one semester,” according to a press release from the school district announcing the award. “Thanks to TDS’s contribution, Roosevelt High School students will gain hands-on experience and critical knowledge in drone technology, positioning them for success in a rapidly growing field. By enrolling in the course through Roosevelt and Aims, students will not only learn the technical skills needed to operate drones but will also meet the requirements to earn their FAA Part 107 certifi cation, a credential recognized by industries across the country.”
