Around Town

These miniatures, created by Roosevelt High School senior Addisen Hunt, are just part of this Saturday’s Parish House Holiday Open House from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Historic Parish House Museum. There will also be several nativities on display and a Christmas tree ornament craft anyone can “make and take” home with them. The event is free and there will be refreshments. Hunt’s love of miniatures first began when she saw an online video of someone making one. Her collection includes many single pieces, miniverse items, box room kits, and custom designs. “Art is important for the soul,” Hunt writes. “It allows you to express yourself while sharing your creativity with the world.” Got a picture for Page 3? An item for Around Town? We and our readers would love to see them. Send them to [email protected]. Photo provided by Addisen Hunt

It’s beginning to look at lot like Christ-mas…. We hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Kudos to the

on another successful “Johnstown Jingle” event this past weekend. Downtown was filled with the sights and sounds of the season. If you missed it, there are still some holiday happenings this weekend….
