Last year wasn’t a bad year for Roosevelt boys wrestling, but it wasn’t the year they were expecting. It started with a ton of optimism and high expectations, but at the end the Riders were only able to qualify four wrestlers for the state tournament out of an expected nine.
All four placed, two reaching the finals both placing 2nd, one making the consolation finals placing 4th, and one placing 5th. The team as a whole placed 8th – a feat in itself – and with three of those qualifiers returning this year, the 2025 season looks like it could potentially be an exciting one.
