Around Town

Close to 200 8th grade students from Weld RE-5J, Weld RE-4, and Greeley-Evans District 6 recently participated in an interactive event designed to expose them to the world of healthcare careers. The “Get into the Guts” event, held November 12 at the Aims Community College Welcome Center, provided students with hands-on experience in the healthcare field through interactive learning booths, tours, and live demonstrations. “The event is a perfect example of the power of collaboration between school districts, higher education, and industry partners,” said Dr. Rebecca Albert Vollrath of RE-5J. “By bringing together our community’s healthcare providers and educational institutions, we were able to provide students with a meaningful, real-world experience that will help guide them in their career exploration.” Got a picture for Page 3?
