JOHNSTOWN – At Monday night’s Town Council meeting, a handful of residents and councilmembers alike voiced their opinions about the liquor licensing system in Johnstown.
When approving or denying an application, the council acts as the local licensing authority and will take into account the surrounding neighborhood, proximity to local schools, a background check performed by the Johnstown Police Department and whether the owner is operating in good faith.
