The #12-seeded Roosevelt Rough Riders landed a playoff date with the #5-seeded Green Mountain Rams this past Friday night at Trailblazer Stadium. The two teams aren’t strangers: they faced off in the same circumstances last year and the year before, with each taking a win. Both teams were looking to break the 1-1 series tie.
Green Mountain would get the first possession, but the offense wouldn’t even have to take the field, as they took the opening kickoff all the way to the house to go up 7-0. The common theme of the first quarter, and really the whole game, was a stalling Roosevelt offense. Green Mountain would be back in scoring position late in the first quarter and capitalized with a rushing touchdown, making it 14-0 Rams.
