This Monday marked Veterans Day, and with it, the first year of existence of the Johnstown Veterans Memorial located just east of Interstate 25 on Colorado Highway 402.
For Johnstown Town Councilmember Damien Berg, the near completion of the project is both a labor of love and time. Berg, who served 21 years as a combat medic, started trying to get a memorial built shortly after moving to the community in 2007.
