It was a spooktacular showdown on Halloween night when the Roosevelt Rough Riders (6-2) took on the Thompson Valley Eagles (8-0) at Ray Patterson Stadium in Loveland.
What seemed like it would be a defensive clash after a 0-0 first quarter quickly changed come the second. Thompson Valley kicked off the scoring with a rushing touchdown. Shortly after a stalled Roosevelt drive, Roosevelt’s Noah Lucero attempted a punt that was blocked. With Thompson Valley put into excellent field position, they capitalized by putting another rushing touchdown on the board, going into the locker room ahead 14-0 at halftime.
