Around Town

Roosevelt High School students proudly hosted a First Responders Breakfast October 22, bringing together local heroes from the Johnstown and Milliken police departments, Front Range Fire Rescue, Weld County Dispatch Services, and UCHealth Ambulance. The breakfast was a collaborative effort between the district’s Career and Technical Education Culinary Pathway and the Safety and Security Department. This initiative aimed to express gratitude to the first responders who work tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of our communities. “Our first responders play a crucial role in keeping our community safe, and this event is our way of saying thank you,” said Joshua Roseberry, Facilities and Safety Security Director for Weld RE-5J. “Building partnerships with these essential services reinforces our commitment to safety and security within our schools and the broader community.” Weld RE-5J Superintendent Scott Nielsen added, “We are fortunate to have a space that brings our community together, and there is no better way to use it than by honoring the selfless dedication of our first responders. This gives students an authentic opportunity to show off their skills and to share our gratitude for the brave men and women who serve and protect us every day.” Got a picture for Page 3?
