October 16, the Weld RE-5J School Board held its monthly meeting at Elwell Elementary School. Superintendent Scott Nielsen and the board focused primarily on a handful of Roosevelt High School students who recently took the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which helps them apply for multiple scholarships.
These recognized students have either taken the test in the past or were first-time qualifiers and excelled in the rural or first-generation category.
