As your Mayor, I was committed to ensuring the Sandra Drive transactions were conducted with the highest care and integrity, benefiting all taxpayers. Here’s how we approached this: 1. Fair Payments: Storm-affected families received payments significantly higher than their home’s appraised value, reflecting compassion and fairness. We had the homes appraised higher than what they normally would have been to give the seller more money.
