Roosevelt quarterback Jasiah “JoJo” Ramirez has been called “undersized” by some and finds himself in the daunting position of following in the cleats of last year’s QB Bronco Hartson. Last Friday night he silenced some of the doubters with a standout home-opener performance – completing 15 of 17 passes for 226 yards and a touchdown – in the Rider’s 38-21 defeat of defending 3A state champion Holy Family. The Riders take on Ponderosa tonight on the road.
