September is Suicide Prevention Month

Suicide is a leading cause of death. It is also the most preventable. In 2023, Weld County lost 66 lives to suicide and countless more attempted. According to the Center for Disease Control, in the United States, more than 48,000 people died by suicide in 2021. That is 1 person every 11 minutes.

Imagine Zero of Weld County in partnership with Suicide Education and Support Services, a program of North Range Behavioral Health, works to prevent suicide by destigmatizing mental health and collaborating with the community to raise awareness about the warning signs associated with suicide.
