The Johnstown Historical Society and the Town of Johnstown are working together to stage a centennial celebration of the rare and famous Johnstown Meteorite fall that occurred on July 6, 1924.
The “I Landed in Johnstown” – themed event promises to be full of excitement as the Historical Society kicks it off with the dedication of a permanent memorial space including historical markers near the Johnstown Cemetery entrance, followed by six more hours of fanfare at Roosevelt High School, including a rock and gem show, educational program with NASA scientists, and culminating with Johnstown’s first ever drone show.
