Around Town

Summer is a time for fun in the sun, but for some kids it’s a time when they have to do without the food assistance they receive during the school year. To help, the Town of Milliken just kicked off its annual Summer Feeding Program to hand out lunches/snacks for kids 0-17 of age on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. (or until they run out of food) at the Milliken Police Department. This program will run between now and the first week of August. Drive through service is available. For questions, call Silvia Martinez at 970660-5021.

A salute to Roosevelt alum Cameron Eldridge, who recently graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy (with distinction). Eldridge, a 2018 Roosevelt High School graduate, received a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Navy.
