MILLIKEN – Authorities are investigating an officer involved shooting early Monday morning, after Milliken Police responded to a report of a suspicious person in the area of Milliken Elementary School.
According to a press release from the Weld County Sheriff’s Office, before arriving on scene just before 1:30 a.m. June 3 an officer was able to speak with the male suspect by phone who made multiple threatening statements toward law enforcement. A Milliken officer responded to the area and contacted the male suspect, who immediately began to run at the officer with a large knife.
