At its May 1 meeting, the RE-5J School Board looked at a new policy that would allow student representatives on the Board of Education.
During the discussion, board member Monica Johnson asked what the board will do to encourage students to apply. Superintendent Scott Nielsen said that the applications will be open to all students, and the district will ask students who could be a good fit to apply.
