Publisher: E.E. Engberg August 4,1932 Two-Headed Calf Attracts Large Number Of People
A miniature side-show has been running at the J.W. Purvis ranch, two miles west of Johnstown, since Monday. The visitors have been attracted by a two-headed calf, still living after three days. The calf has two mouths, four eyes, but only two ears and one throat, the two heads being joined at the base of the skull. It is able to drink out of either mouth. The calf is not able to stand yet and apparently has little control over its legs. Two-headed calves are not infrequent according to Donald Purvis, but it is unusual when one lives longer than a few days.
