We are writing a letter of support and recommendation for Dee Menzies for Johnstown Town Council. We are natives born and raised here in Johnstown and Milliken, moved back “home” almost 2 years ago, after living in Loveland for many years. Dee Menzies is a CSU graduate. She worked in athletics (sports information) at CSU as a student when CSU was in the WAC. She worked as Assistant Commissioner of the WAC for 21 years (1978-1999). Was Associate Athletic Director at University of Idaho for six years (1999-2005) and then Associate Registrar and Director of Athletic Eligibility at CU for 10 years (2005-2015). CU was in the Big 8 until 2010 and then the PAC-12 where she retired from. She’s a Colorado native, has lived in Johnstown for 8-plus years, and is a great next-door neighbor. Dee is trustworthy with an excellent outlook on what Johnstown needs going forward. She will stand up for Johnstown citizens as we continue growing. She is currently the HOA president of the Patio Homes 2 and represented Patio 2 in the Master Rolling Hills Ranch HOA. She is detailed and is quick to find and resolve issues. If you want someone to look out for Johnstown’s citizens’ interests, she would be great doing so.
