Pioneer Ridge Elementary
Pioneer Ridge Elementary fourth graders recently took part in “Sowing Stewardship” at the Lewis Farm, a Colorado State University (CSU) agricultural education experience hosted at the CoBank Center for Agricultural Education, where Roosevelt High School FFA members led hands-on learning stations. During the program, students rotated through six stations on key stewardship themes – water, soil and crops, grazing, livestock, technology, and heritage. “Our goal is to connect classroom learning with authentic, career-connected experiences,” said Weld RE-5J Superintendent Scott Nielsen. “This collaboration shows what’s possible when universities, teachers, and student leaders align expertise and purpose – every child benefits. We’re grateful to CSU, Roosevelt FFA, and PRE’s fourthgrade team for opening these doors.” Photo provided by Rebecca Albert Vollrath
