“It’s easy these days to get film on teams. With just a few phone calls I can get several game films on any team I want. And teams have definitely identified our run defense as something to exploit. I would do the same thing if I was an opposing coach. Truth be told we just have to grow up a bit and get a little tougher. We just aren’t playing defense to the standard of Roosevelt football. Some of that is our age, but I strongly believe a lot of that is attitude and willpower as well. We just have to be tougher.”
Another main ingredient to stop the Riders is to stop the run, aka stopping Xavier Ramirez from running all over the field. Teams are keying in on the star running back and it’s had its effect on the Roosevelt offense.
