Photo provided by Weld RE-5J Congratulations to Roosevelt High School’s HOSA – Future Health Professionals team, who shined at the recent 2025 State Leadership Conference, competing against 76 schools and 2,000-plus students statewide. The team came home with two state champions, a 2nd place finish, and 15 Top 10 placements. Congrats to Maile Sedey (1st, Clinical Specialty) and Emma Jex (1st, Research Persuasive Writing & Speaking and 2nd, Clinical Specialty). HOSA – Future Health Professionals, formerly known as Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), is an international career and technical student organization that prepares students to enter healthcare and similar fields, with membership in the United States, U.S. Territories, Canada, China, South Korea, and Mexico. As part of ongoing

improvements to the Downtown Johnstown area, Xcel will be conducting potholing work through April 4 within the East Parish Avenue alleyway. The following week, gas line relocation will begin and is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete. No service disruptions are expected to occur during the relocation of the line.
