JOHNSTOWN-MILLIKEN ROTARY CLUB
The Johnstown/Milliken Rotary Club met at 7 a.m. in Johnson’s Corner for its May 2 meeting.
Pastor Randy Mayer gave the invocation and Torrin Williams led the club in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Four-Way-Test.
Guests included Assistant District Gov. Susan Van Deren, Tyler Bauer, Shelly Bauer, Paula Grzenia, Liam Burack, and Linda Measner, who has applied for membership.
The Rotary Student of the Month, Tyler Bauer, was in attendance and was presented with a certificate, medal, and a gift card to Barnes & Noble to help pay for college books.
Club member Ken Grack gave a short presentation on the District Assembly recently held in Laramie, Wyo., and attended by Jan Grack and President-Elect Jerry Dunn.
Dunn reminded members the 2nd Annual Rotary Cup Golf Tournament was fast approaching and recruitment teams should be meeting to establish plans of action. The tournament will be held on July 13 at The Mad Russian Golf Course in Milliken.
The week’s program was presented by Pamela Levine, MD, on nutrition and nutritional supplements.
The Johnstown/Milliken Rotary Club meets every Thursday at 7 a.m. in Johnson’s Corner. The board of directors meets the second Monday of the
month at 6:30 p.m. at the Milliken Police Department.

CHEERFUL LEARNERS
The Cheerful Learners met Monday (March 18) at the home of Charlene Nelson.
Refreshments were served prior to the meeting.
President Barbara Sloan called the meeting to order with the pledge to the flag and the club collect. Roll call was answered by 10 members.
Minutes were read and approved as read.
Treasurer Helen Chesnut gave the financial report.
A thank was read from member Linda Windedahl.
At the next meeting, the group plans to meet at 1 p.m. to tour the Career Development Center in Longmont. They will plan to stop somewhere for refreshments afterward.
Several were mentioned for Sunshine projects. The program was then given by Charlene Nelson.
