Flood debris dumpsters being delivered

MILLIKEN – Roll-off dumpsters for disaster debris removal are being made available through a coordinated effort between Waste Management and the Town of Milliken.

Residents want to move forward with their lives, but also minimize potential public health and environmental issues that could worsen if debris isn’t removed.

There are five locations around town to obtain the dumpsters (locations are highlighted on the photo accompanying this story):

• Grain elevator, 1301 Broad.
• Grace Street/900 Cherry St.
• 105 N. Josephine Ave.
• 417 Broad
• Hillsborough Skate Park, 102 S. Harriett Ave.

Waste Management drivers will deliver these resources today (Sept. 19).

Dumpsters will be hauled away, emptied, and replaced as needed – but no less than once a week.

When determined, the end date for this service will be announced.

Regular trash removal service will resume Monday.

Those requiring physical assistance, due to medical or physical needs, should call Town Hall at 587-4331.
