Old tale, new spin at RHS this weekend
The Johnstown Breeze
A girl and a boy, well, a dead boy, meet and fall in love. Zombeo and Juliet is a modern day re-telling of a Shakespearean classic, with a new twist that is. This clever and punny comedy will be brought to life this weekend by the RHS theater class. Performances will be held Friday and Saturday in the Roosevelt High School Auditorium at 7pm.
Playing the star-crossed lovers are Viktor Baeza, a Roosevelt High School senior, and Paige Phillips, a RHS junior. This play puts a deadly new twist to the classic love tale. The setting is set in Verona (as usual). The feud is between the Montgomery’s (a family of zombies), and the Decapitates (a family of hunters). One thing that gives this play character is that it was written to be performed without a set. This leaves everything up to the imagination and adds a funny new quirk.
Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door.
