Editor’s note: Students in the University of Northern Colorado’s Advanced News and Feature Writing class, taught by Dr. Lynn Klyde-Silverstein, recently spent 24 hours (Feb. 2) covering Johnstown and Milliken. It was a chance to practice their craft, and an opportunity for The Breeze to showcase the goings-on of a typical Saturday through the eyes of student-journalists.

Midnight
Milliken Police Sgt. Tim Handel chooses the perfect song from his music library, Slipknot’s “Before I Forget.” With guitar riffing and drums beating, he pulls out of the “cop shop” on Broad Street.
