JOHNSTOWN – Mike Pallotto, head coach of Roosevelt High School’s wrestling program for 38 years, is among the Class of 2013 inductees for the Colorado High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
“It’s an exciting honor,” Pallotto said. “There’s a lot of people on (the list of inductees) that I have a lot of respect for; a lot of coaches I coached against, and a couple of my high school teachers and coaches. It’s a good feeling.”
Pallotto joins a fraternity of 243 members and becomes the third Roosevelt coach to be inducted into the CHSCA Hall of Fame. Randall Hess, who coached cross country and track at RHS, was a member of the Class of 1998. Longtime football coach Dale Yost was inducted in 2007. Another inductee, Bob Smith (Class of 1991), honored for coaching wrestling at Wray High School, now lives in Milliken.
