JOHNSTOWN – Winter sports action at Roosevelt High School resumes today, with the Rough Riders basketball team traveling to Colorado Springs for the Rampart New Year’s Classic.

Roosevelt is scheduled to play the host Rams at 8 p.m. Friday at 5, the Riders will play Pueblo West, then Montrose at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

These are non-league games for the Riders, who started the season 3-3 overall. However, they are leading the Class 4A Tri-Valley League standings by virtue of their 59-44 victory over Northridge before the break. Conference competition continues here Tuesday, when RHS hosts Windsor (4-4, 0-0).
