JOHNSTOWN – As town clerk for 17 years, Jane Fahrenbruch was pretty much the face of Johnstown during the 1970s and ’80s.

“She was the de facto everything,” said Johnstown Councilman Troy Mellon. “She was a person we don’t see the type of much anymore.”

Fahrenbruch, 84, passed away Feb. 28, 2013, in Greeley, where she moved from Johnstown a few years ago.
