TRPR pitcher tosses no-hitter vs. Windsor

JOHNSTOWN – They’re called the Rangers, named after the Major League Baseball team from Texas.
During their game June 12 at Diamond Field in Windsor, right-handed pitcher Elijah Landers took a page out of Rangers’ legend and Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan’s book and pitched a no-hitter.
Landers’ dad and coach, Joe Landers, said his son pounded the strike zone all game with his two-seam and four-seam fastballs. Elijah can throw a knuckleball, slider, and three-six curveball, but being a fundamental minded coach, Landers said he wants his son to master his fastball before breaking out his off-speed stuff.To read more, a subscription is needed: Click here to subscribe
