Wounded vet, family now call JT home

JOHNSTOWN – Late last Wednesday afternoon, with the sun going down and people busily preparing for Thanksgiving, a group of neighbors along Pleasant Avenue in the Country Acres subdivision stopped what they were doing and came outside to wait to welcome the newest family moving onto the block.
And while every new family likely has a story, this one warmed hearts in the coming evening chill.
The neighbors were waiting to welcome Wade and Diana Sharbono of North Carolina and their 14-year-old son Joshua. The couple also has a 15-year-old daughter, Taylor, who is staying behind with friends to finish this school term before rejoining the family.
